Your 6.7 Cummins requires a lot of air! And sometimes the parts that came on the truck from the factory aren't designed for peak optimization of performance, they instead are designed for manufacturing efficiency. The Banks Ram Air intake replaces the factory intake with a part designed specifically and exclusively for airflow and power increases giving you 936 CFM or a 122% airflow increase over stock while keeping 49 States legal. Those are gains you'll notice from the moment you fire the truck up!
The biggest thing that sets out the Ram Air intake apart from the rest is that it comes with a #1 fuel line relocation kit so that it doesn't sacrifice any airflow to the engine, where other intakes will design their intake to sacrifice airflow by working around the fuel line. This gives the Banks intake a clear and distinct advantage over the rest of them!
Now Dual Heat Capable! The Monster-Ram still comes standard with the Banks 750-watt coil heater, but now you can add a second heaterfor up to 1500 watts of cold-start power, all without sacrificing airflow.

Additional Info
Cummins Ticking Time Bomb
Due to heat, vibration, and time, a nut and stud from the factory heater grid have been documented to come loose and fall into the intake manifold. Once this happens, it will roll downhill into cylinder #6, causing catastrophic failure that requires a complete engine rebuild or replacement from bent valves, damaged pistons, and head.

2007.5-2012 Cummins Gen 2 Monster-Ram Air Intake System (42797)
?
With this kit, am i able to run 2 coil heaters if i purchase a second one or do i need to buy another part?
This will come with one from factory, and then you would just need to purchase a second heater coil to install alongside it! Part # 42830.
?
Is this the right kit for my 2011 dodge ram 3500 6.7l cummins
You bet! Unless you have a cab & chassis truck, then you'll want part number -> 42806.
?
Hello, just wondering will this kit fit my 2010 Dodge 3500 6.7l Cummins crew cab
Yes!
?
What happens if your heating coil breaks and falls into intake,on 6.7 cummins,
It would potentially roll through the intake and into cylinder 6 causing catastrophic failure. Although there has been no reported cases of the heater coil breaking on the monster ram intake.
?
Do this fit my 07 6.7 crew cad pickup truck
No, this will only fit 2007.5-2012 RAM Cummins 6.7 Trucks.
?
I was wondering if this fit my 2007 6.7 crew cab pickup 3500
If you have the 6.7L that is the correct intake.
?
What is the block off plate on top? What would go there if the plate wasn’t there?
The plate on the Monster-Ram Air Intake System is a Billet High-Flow Intake Plate. This plate serves to replace the highly restrictive factory grid heater plate that is found on the stock Cummins intake manifold.
?
Will this fit my 2012 ram 5500
No, you will need to look at this C&C option, HERE.
?
Banks coil heater inside monster ram intake,if it fails or breaks off ,will it do the same as stock grid heater bolt,if it does break or fall apart ,it also will drop down and take out valves, piston, banks has over 100% better flow,im concerned about the coil heater,
The Banks Monster-Ram Intake coil heater is designed to specifically reduce the risk of engine damage due to heater component failure and that problematic bolt.
?
I want to get the grid heater delete kit for my truck but I wanted to drive it in the winter as well is there something I can buy that would help my truck fire up in the winter
This bolts directly to the air intake before the throttle body, giving you big heat gains. Heavy Duty Dual Element Heater.

Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 39 reviews.
Looks terrific and is a great piece of mind knowing the “nut” is gone. Install isn’t bad. YouTube is great. Darkiron diesel videos are a good way to learn
Look and works well not too hard to install unfortunately got a check engine light after installing think it has something to do with my mass airflow sensor but looked it up and found it was a common problem after installing
Purchasing was a breeze, the website was easy to navigate and the reviews made the purchase a no brainer. Installation was tedious but very straightforward and not confusing. Will definitely be a repeat customer in the future. Thank you DDC
I found the install video had some wiring harness differences--my '09 Dodge didn't need the wiring extensions and the routing on the video was not like mine.
I also noted the plastic plugs did not fit the fuel rail fittings very well- ended up having to tap them in and couldn't get the back 2 in
The only thing I regret is waiting so long to put it on . Noticeable change in trucks performance. No more grid heater bolt nightmares .if I had to relate it to someone with no knowledge . I would say it's like feeling the air flow from your register In the floor as a pose to removing the register and having the full unrestricted duct .as I'm sure most people have experience in there life .
Fit my 2012 Ram 3500 perfectly. Install was around 4 1/2 - 5 hours. Luckily my stock grid heater bolt was intact even with 463,000km. With saying that, I have more peace of mind going forward! I haven’t noticed any real differences besides maybe a little more throttle response. I won’t have a review on the cold starting ability, as my pickup has a Webasto installed.
Good product, easy install. Would recommend anyone looking at doing one to order boost tubes or new boots and clamps to replace your old crusty ones while you are there!
First review ever. The experience from ordering to receiving the product was 10 out of 10. The packaging was 10 out of 10 no parts missing or damaged. Good product
Thanks
Install was a bit tedious with taking the fuel lines off (#4 with the sensor in the way) and getting the old plate out of there but not too bad if you take your time. Improves throttle response and looks good on the truck. Only dislike is having to put in the one bolt through the heater coil hole and inside the Banks (ironically).
