For any recall going forward, be sure to ask the dealer to not connect and/or reflash the ECM in any way with an OEM tool. Failure to do so and you will run the risk of locking yourself out and losing the ability to tune your truck with a custom file.
For the new pump recall, these are basically "no-tune" pumps from Dodge/RAM and the truck should run just fine with the current pump in your truck. Some customers may experience slight surge or stumble at idle or even partial throttle, in this case, we would recommend the customer revise their tuning to the CP3 conversion file.
While the tuning companies we work with will do everything they can to help, at the end of the day if this update is done, there is little that can be done at this time.
