6.7 Cummins |
Your 6.7 Cummins requires a lot of air! And sometimes the parts that came on the truck from the factory aren't designed for peak optimization of performance, they instead are designed for manufacturing efficiency. The Banks Ram Air intake replaces the factory intake with a part designed specifically and exclusively for airflow and power increases giving you 936 CFM or a 122% airflow increase over stock while keeping 49 States legal. Those are gains you'll notice from the moment you fire the truck up!
The biggest thing that sets out the Ram Air intake apart from the rest is that it comes with a #1 fuel line relocation kit so that it doesn't sacrifice any airflow to the engine, where other intakes will design their intake to sacrifice airflow by working around the fuel line. This gives the Banks intake a clear and distinct advantage over the rest of them!
Now Dual Heat Capable! The Monster-Ram still comes standard with the Banks 750-watt coil heater, but now you can add a second heater for up to 1500 watts of cold-start power, all without sacrificing airflow.

If you have the 6.7L that is the correct intake.

What is the block off plate on top? What would go there if the plate wasn’t there?
The plate on the Monster-Ram Air Intake System is a Billet High-Flow Intake Plate. This plate serves to replace the highly restrictive factory grid heater plate that is found on the stock Cummins intake manifold.

Will this fit my 2012 ram 5500
No, you will need to look at this C&C option, HERE.

Banks coil heater inside monster ram intake,if it fails or breaks off ,will it do the same as stock grid heater bolt,if it does break or fall apart ,it also will drop down and take out valves, piston, banks has over 100% better flow,im concerned about the coil heater,
The Banks Monster-Ram Intake coil heater is designed to specifically reduce the risk of engine damage due to heater component failure and that problematic bolt.
