Your 6.7 Cummins requires a lot of air! And sometimes the parts that came on the truck from the factory aren't designed for peak optimization of performance, they instead are designed for manufacturing efficiency. The Banks Ram Air intake replaces the factory intake with a part designed specifically and exclusively for airflow and power increases giving you 936 CFM or a 122% airflow increase over stock while keeping 49 States legal. Those are gains you'll notice from the moment you fire the truck up!
The biggest thing that sets out the Ram Air intake apart from the rest is that it comes with a #1 fuel line relocation kit so that it doesn't sacrifice any airflow to the engine, where other intakes will design their intake to sacrifice airflow by working around the fuel line. This gives the Banks intake a clear and distinct advantage over the rest of them!
Now Dual Heat Capable! The Monster-Ram still comes standard with the Banks 750-watt coil heater, but now you can add a second heater for up to 1500 watts of cold-start power, all without sacrificing airflow.

Cummins Ticking Time Bomb
Due to heat, vibration, and time, a nut and stud from the factory heater grid have been documented to come loose and fall into the intake manifold. Once this happens, it will roll downhill into cylinder #6, causing catastrophic failure that requires a complete engine rebuild or replacement from bent valves, damaged pistons, and head.

Look and works well not too hard to install unfortunately got a check engine light after installing think it has something to do with my mass airflow sensor but looked it up and found it was a common problem after installing

Easy installation and the powder coat red looks amazing
I found the install video had some wiring harness differences--my '09 Dodge didn't need the wiring extensions and the routing on the video was not like mine. I also noted the plastic plugs did not fit the fuel rail fittings very well- ended up having to tap them in and couldn't get the back 2 in

Fit my 2012 Ram 3500 perfectly. Install was around 4 1/2 - 5 hours. Luckily my stock grid heater bolt was intact even with 463,000km. With saying that, I have more peace of mind going forward! I haven’t noticed any real differences besides maybe a little more throttle response. I won’t have a review on the cold starting ability, as my pickup has a Webasto installed.
Good product, easy install. Would recommend anyone looking at doing one to order boost tubes or new boots and clamps to replace your old crusty ones while you are there!

It was an extensive install,l but the instructions made the process go perfectly and I have had no issues with the truck.

Install was a bit tedious with taking the fuel lines off (#4 with the sensor in the way) and getting the old plate out of there but not too bad if you take your time. Improves throttle response and looks good on the truck. Only dislike is having to put in the one bolt through the heater coil hole and inside the Banks (ironically).
Better turbo spool up. Better throttle response. Also looks great.
