The Exergy E05 10505 Fuel System Saver is a revolutionary Inlet Metering Valve designed to protect your fuel system in case of a CP4 Pump Failure. The Differently-Designed System Saver Inlet Valve by Exergy has improved the screen that is upstream of the valve inlet. The OEM screen is a flimsy single 80-micron layer and prone to tearing not to mention it will then introduce a massive amount of debris from the failed pump into the injectors. The System Saver is double-wrapped in two layers and is rated at 25 microns, effectively preventing debris from entering the fuel system.

Is the Powerstroke Fuel System Saver (E05 10505) used in conjunction with the S&S CP4 bypass disaster kit? Is one better than the other and do you suggest running both?
They are not used in conjunction, it's generally one or the other depending on your goal. You could run both but really it's redundant. The Fuel System Saver (E05 10505) is a very cost effective way to save your system.

Does this fit a 2012 passat cp4 pump?
Unfortunately it is just for the Duramax or Powerstroke platforms.
