Unlock your L5P's true potential with AMDP Custom Tuning. These tune files will range from 0HP Modified up to 150HP Race tunes. Still wanting more power? We can have these custom tune files written to accommodate any modifications your truck may have, just let us know!

Each Package will include the necessary equipment & credits to load the custom tuning into your L5P. An HP Tuners MPVI3 or MPVI4 is required to load this tuning (MPVI4 included in this package).

We do not support lope tunes or smoke tunes.

Add-ons (optional):

• Transmission Tuning: Select "Add Transmission Tuning" above to add AMDP custom tuning for your Allison. Transmission tuning requires 4 additional HP Tuners credits (8 total). This package includes 4 credits for the engine tune, so add 4 more from Universal HP Tuners Credits in the add-ons below. The 2020-2023 T93 TCM flashes directly through the OBD port.

All Tuning will give you full access to calibrate, log, and scan via the OBD2 port with your MPVI4 and VCM Suite 4.3+!

TCM Tuning

Transmission tuning is optional. AMDP custom transmission tuning recalibrates your Allison so it shifts, holds, and locks up the way your tuned L5P needs it to.

• Crisp, Firm Shifts: Shift firmness and timing are adjusted to remove sluggish factory shifting for faster, more positive gear changes.
• Increased Line Pressure: More holding power so the clutches stay planted under the added torque from your engine tune.
• Adjusted Shift Points: Tuned to keep your truck in its power band and prevent lugging, with setups for stock or larger tires.
• Torque Converter Lockup: Firmer, refined converter lockup for better power delivery, less slip, and reduced heat when towing.
• Torque Management: Adjusted so the transmission works with your AMDP engine tuning instead of pulling power during shifts.
• Better Drivability Under Load: Smoother, more confident shifting whether you are daily driving, towing heavy, or running the higher power levels.

SOTF Tuning

When selecting SOTF tuning, you have the ability to utilize the Cruise Control Method (Read More Here) which would be accessed via your steering wheel. SOTF tuning gives you all five power levels and lets you change between them on the fly using the factory steering wheel controls, with no reflashing needed to change levels. If you prefer a manual toggle switch, be sure to select the addon. If you do not select the addon, your SOTF tuning will automatically default to the Cruise Control Method.

• Unlocked ECM's will not be able to communicate with the GM Factory Tools, GM will not be able to flash or modify your ECM for recalls anymore.
• 4 Tuning Credits required for engine tuning, or 8 credits for engine & transmission tuning. This package includes 4 credits; if you add Transmission Tuning, add 4 more credits from the add-ons.
• CAN Bus Plugs are required for emissions-off tuning (Canbus Harness included in this package).

You will need to read the stock file of the truck with the HPTuners MPVI4 Device, once you send us that stock file, we can send you the custom tuning to suit your truck. It's a very quick and easy process and will come with step-by-step instructions.

  Will the tuner be able to unlock the ecm without the unlock tool

  Yes - only the 2017 and 2018 require the e41 ECM unlock tool.

  Do you need the ecm unlock tool on all l5p’s

  No, the 2017 and 2018 require an e41 ECM unlock too. 2019-2023 can be unlocked with the MPVI device. The newer L5Ps require their ECM to be sent away to be unlocked.
