5000 RPM governor spring kit for 1994-1998 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 5.9L 12V Cummins P7100 injection pumps. The top of the governor-spring kit line — extends full fueling all the way out to 5000 RPM for race and sled-pull applications that need pump capacity past 4000 RPM.

Ships with all the necessary parts and detailed pictorial install instructions. Compared to the 232701 4K kit, the 232702 is built for engines that have been rebuilt with valvetrain to match the higher RPM ceiling — stiff valve springs, performance camshaft, ported head. Running stock valvetrain at 5000 RPM ends badly fast.

• Required valvetrain match: upgraded valve springs (minimum 150 lb — 24G801), performance camshaft, and a freshly-built head are essential. Running stock valvetrain at 5000 RPM causes valve float, dropped valves, and bent rockers.
