Description
Description
150 lb seat-pressure performance valve springs for the 1989-1998 Dodge 5.9L 12V Cummins (and the 3.9L 4BT Cummins industrial engine). The OE springs lose their grip on the valves once boost climbs past ~45 psi or RPM climbs past ~3200 — valve float costs power, throws timing off, and in the worst case lets a valve hit a piston.
These springs are sized to hold the valves shut at 60 psi of boost and 4000 RPM. They're the standard upgrade before pushing more fuel through a 12V or before installing a performance camshaft. Set includes both intake and exhaust springs for a full head.
