Step 1:
- Download the latest version of VCM Editor BETA on a Windows based laptop
- Note: The BETA version is updated nearly every day. Re-download the latest update each time you flash
- Click here to download the VCM Editor BETA
- If you encounter an error message that says “You require DOT NET Dependencies”, install this program
Step 2:
- Hook up the MPVI device to the OBDII port of the truck and the USB port of the laptop.
Step 3:
- Open the VCM Editor BETA, select Read Vehicle then “Read Entire” of the ECM, “Do Not Read” of the TCM, then “Read”.
- Once complete, save the file as “patch_ecm”.
Step 4:
- Select “Write Vehicle”
- WRITE the “patch_ecm” back onto the ECM only
Step 5:
- Take a second “read entire” of the ECM
- Save the file as “stock_ecm”
Step 6:
- This file will be the updated stock read. Send it to tunes@dirtydieselcustoms.com along with your order number for reference.
