The MPVI4 comes standard with the Pro Feature Set, VCM Editor, VCM Scanner, and programming/USB cables, which combined, make up the essentials of the VCM Suite. The MPVI4+ Tuner has been equipped with enhanced features like standalone data logging, Bluetooth®, HP Tuners Proprietary Expansion Port, and Mobile Device Support. VCM Scanner

The built-in VCM Scanner gives you have the most powerful and comprehensive scan tool on the market. View, chart, and log diagnostic data in real-time via the vehicle’s OBDII diagnostic data port. View and clear vehicle Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) along with other vehicle module information. Command control functions like closed loop, fans, gear select, timing, air-fuel ratio and so much more all in real-time. No editor package can be considered complete without comprehensive scan tool capabilities.

VCM Editor

The VCM Editor, which is also built-in with the MPVI4, allows you to read most vehicles' control modules flash memory and save it in HP Tuners proprietary.HPT file structure. It will also enable you to adjust a multitude of complex parameters such as torque strategies, spark tables, fueling, RPM limits, fan activations, transmission shift points and pressures, exhaust valve control, speedometer settings and many more. Finally, you write these changes back to the various vehicle control modules via the MPVI4.

Pro Features

The Pro Feature Set takes your MPVI4 to the next level. It includes enhanced firmware, allowing you to log additional analog signals that are not part of the factory ECM. Prolink+ Cable is sold separately.

Notes
  • Prolink+ Cable sold separately. The PROLINK+ cable allows professional users to input 2x analog signals (from a wideband sensor, map sensor, boost pressure sensor etc.) and 1x CAN bus signal simultaneously.

  • Would I need to buy credits to just unlock the ECM?

    You need credits to unlock and tune your ECM, but you can read, edit and save your vehicle's stock read using the VCM Suite Software without any credits.

  • Can I tune my 3.0L Eco Diesel with this?

    You can use this to tune the 2013-2019 Jeep 3.0L Ecodiesel, and the 2013-2019 Ram Ecodiesel along with their corresponding tune files.

  • will it work on a 94 6.5 detroit

    No, the HP Tuners MPVI3 will not work on a 1994 6.5L Detroit Diesel. HP Tuners primarily supports vehicles with OBD-II systems, and your 1994 6.5L Detroit uses an OBD-I system, which isn't compatible with HP Tuners' hardware or software.

  • 2012 Ram 6.7 what do all I need to tune so pickup? (I have the tuner)! And then what all do I need for 2017 L5P Duramax? I have the (unlocked) an (blank ECM) both pickups are going to be modified. Is there any parts that I need to buy?

    2012 Ram 6.7: You'll need to purchase at least 2 credits for ECM tuning, and an additional 4 credits for TCM tuning, check HERE. For the 2017 L5P you can also run with the MPVI3 and HPTuners credits. Make sure your blank ECM is flashed with a stock file before custom tuning (if it isn't already). You'll need 8 credits as well, and if you'd like there's optional TCM tuning (recommended). Check them out HERE.

  • Is there a premium needed to be paid when using any of the pro features?

    No, the MPVI3 now comes standard with the Pro Feature Set.

  • Hi, we work on a modified 2020 chevy silverado 3.0 diesel, what do we need to program ecu? Thanks

    You still need to send your ECM to be cloned to HP Tuners for their GM E46 ECM Service unfortunately.

  • will this work on a 1997 k2500 suburban with the 6.5L Detroit diesel to reprogram the pcm for boost control to stop it from going into limp mode?

    Unfortunately no.

  • Hello can it do immobilize rdeletes on a 93 ram diesel and other vehicles

    It cannot do immobilizer deletes.

I’m not the most computer savvy person and the guys in the tech department were a huge help with a few issues I ran into. The new ecm program went well and even cleared the shut down counter and def related code. All the parts fill great, my only complaint would be there were no instructions on what to unplug and what to do with the unplugged sensors. Luckily for me being a heavy truck mechanic I got it figured out, but I would think for someone with little mechanical experience they might be lost. Over all great experience and would recommend dirty diesel to anyone looking for upgrades.

Datalink worked great, only comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable so if your laptop does not have USB-C ports you will need another cable!
