Description

Fits: Universal

Ditch your boring, flimsy OE antenna for the Dirty Diesel Customs .50 Cal Bullet Antenna. Standing at 5.5" tall, this isn't just a "generic" bullet; it’s a precision-machined replica designed to give your truck a bold, aggressive profile without sacrificing your favorite radio stations.

While the competition sells rebranded, multi-piece kits with cheap brass hardware, we’ve engineered a single-piece, seamless design that’s built to last and guaranteed to fit. Most "bullet antennas" on the market are cheap imports with inconsistent designs and weak brass adapters. Dirty Diesel's bullet antennas are crafted as a single, seamless piece. This unique approach ensures uniformity and eliminates the need for additional components, such as spring tips or color-matching.

Part Number: DDC-EXT-A011

  • Do the bullet antenna's need line of sight?

Electromagnetic radio waves can penetrate a lot of objects, but generally do not pass through conductive materials, however they can reach the antenna through diffraction, reflection, and refraction. These phenomena allow radio waves to bend, bounce, and change direction when encountering obstacles, ultimately reaching the antenna even if there isn't a clear line of sight. The Bullet Antenna will be no different than the OEM antenna in this regard.

  • What is it’s range?

While .50 Cal. bullets have been lethal at ranges up to 2500 yards, our .50 cal bullet antennas will not go further than you can throw it.  On a serious note, it's hard to tell as the exact range will vary depending on your location and the signal strength in your area.  We've had customers say that their reception was improved over stock.

  • How do you install it?

To install a bullet antenna, first, remove your existing antenna by unscrewing it counterclockwise from the base.  Then simply using the adapter that fits your vehicle, and the provided rubber washer, hand tighten the antenna into place.   Once your antenna is installed turn on your radio to confirm that the antenna is functioning. Note: Be careful to not overtorque the antenna!
