What size are the hose clamps needed for the job? All the reviews are indicating that the clamps that are supplied need to be better
To swap out the worm-gear clamps supplied with the PPE kit, you will need SAE Size #10 standard worm-gear hose clamps or 3/4 (19mm) Constant-Tension Spring Clamps.

Tired of having to use the little boy filter? Feeling a little filter envy from your buddies manly filter? Well envy no more little man! PPE puts the cooler pump were GM should have done in the first place! After unboxing, and fondling the pieces, throw away the Chinesium clamps and buy real clamps from Napa or Lordco. Now, follow the instructions included, and once installed, don't forget to top up the coolant.
Marvel at the abundant room you now have, for that Big Boi PPE filter.
And best of all... no more small filter envy.
I haven’t installed it yet, but it shipped very fast seeing it wasn’t supposed to ship until July due to stock. I know I’ll like it and post a pic when I install it next month. Looking forward to the ppe filter for protection. Tk you!
Simple installation! Fit perfectly!
Would recommend better scroll clamps, had one fail on install. Utilized factory clamps instead. Otherwise took 20 mins!
Also installation hack, use hose pinch off pliers on the hoses below the reservoir to cut coolant loss in half!
Kit worked perfect for my 2014 3500hd.
Everything fit perfect. The only thing I would not use clamps that come with the kit, broke two of them tightened with small flat screwdriver. I replaced them with better clamps! BILLY!
Only thing you need to tell people were to add more antifreeze at because it is not the same antifreeze holding tank as the radiator . I did not no that so I ran my truck and a check engine light came on . I got it filled up now. Hopefully no other damage.
Very fast and easy installation. PPE provides solid step by step instructions. The customers are happy with their new PPE oil filters because of these kits.
