BDS1718H. Hey how do I know whether my index wheel is 6 bolt or 8 bolt? Are we talking about the wheel bolt pattern?

It refers specifically to the Transfer Case Indexing Ring. The best way to check is to open your hood and look for the transmission dipstick, if you have a Driver Side Dipstick: You have the Aisin AS69RC (Heavy Duty) transmission. This uses the 8-bolt pattern. If you have a Passenger Side Dipstick: You have the 68RFE transmission. This uses the 6-bolt pattern.
