Dynamic Idle

Optional

Speed up engine-warm up with a 1,100 RPM (or another RPM of your choice) idle. The idle will return to stock state (approximately 830RPM) by 70C (158F) coolant temperature. Results may vary. Example Idle RPM vs. coolant temperature progress chart below: Most factory ECUs actually already has Dynamic Idle, especially at higher elevation or very cold temperatures. We typically do not set a higher idle RPM etc. than the maximum that's set by the factory. An engine that gets warmer sooner means that you get interior heat sooner (more comfort during cold weather) and reach optimal efficiency (fuel economy) sooner. If you want a permanently raised idle (e.g. 950-1000 RPM) to reduce vibrations, especially with a stiffer aftermarket engine mount, then we also can do that.

Glow Plug Extension

Optional

Increases glow plug strength and duration if it's cold enough. Improves cold starting performance (reduced chance of startup smoke and reduced engine stumbling).

Hardcut Rev Limiter

Optional

This tune option is for people who want an aggressive Rev Limiter either in neutral or at the top of the rev range in Drive or Sport for DSG's and any gear for manuals while driving. It is mechanically hard on the vehicle and can be set to any custom RPM you prefer - We do not recommend exceeding 4600RPM - *We do not offer refunds for this tuning feature!*

Manual Transmission Conversion

Optional

Reflash your transmission using factory software after swapping to a manual transmission. ECU will need to be recoded separately using VCDS to complete the process, make note of the current transmission coding before you flash the ECU.

High Pressure Fuel Pump Upgrade

Optional

Pick the calibration that matches your fuel pump upgrade. Only one can be used. Only required if you swap to a CP3 fuel pump . This requires custom tuning work for best results. We will not add this to other brand tunes.

Dynamic EGR

Optional

Dynamic EGR allows the function of EGR to be retained to help the vehicle get up to operating temp. Once operating temp is reached, EGR is switched off to prolong the life of the EGR system. This feature is for Off-Road Use Only. EGR components must be functional. Incompatible with Emissions-Off.

Transmission Tune

Optional

DSG automatic cars: TuneZilla requires a DSG tune with Stage 1 and up. Skip this if your car is a manual. The DSG tune covers Stage 3 and lower; TuneZilla has no DSG tune for Stage 4 on these cars.

It is important to note that we do not remove factory readiness monitors or force readiness for any factory-installed components. If you are installing aftermarket hardware that is for off-road use only, please double-check with your state requirements prior to flashing.

Installation
  • Flashed at home through the OBD port with the TuneZilla FlashZilla Pro and a Windows 10 or 11 laptop running the TuneZilla Portal App.
  • Connect the FlashZilla Pro with a USB-A to USB-C cable. USB-C to USB-C cables are not compatible.
  • Your tune is linked to your VIN and syncs to the TuneZilla Portal App, usually right away. Read and save your factory ECU file before flashing.
  • Clear all fault codes and warning messages before flashing.
  • TuneZilla recommends a battery charger for every flash. Turn the ignition on with the engine off, follow the prompts and do not interrupt the flash.

Manufacturer Description

Stage 3 is designed for owners who are ready to move beyond the limits of the factory turbo with an upgraded turbocharger. This calibration unlocks a significant increase in horsepower and torque, delivering stronger acceleration and a much harder pull throughout the rev range. The result is a noticeably quicker, more capable vehicle that fully takes advantage of the upgraded turbo.

With the added power available across the rev range, the CKRA feels more confident in every driving situation, from highway passing to spirited weekend drives.
