Customer complained of a weird 2nd gear shift. found line pressure was lower then desired. pulled apart, installed this kit. truck is a total different unit. shifting is firm, line pressures are on point. great product for the 68rfes.

If you are looking to step-up your line pressure, you have come to the right place. The BD Protect68 Gasket Plate Kit is an industry-leading custom bonded gasket valve body separator plate that enables you to run 250psi in your 68RFE transmission. It will also eliminate cross leaks and P0871 codes! This kit also includes a heavy-duty accumulator plate to prevent an accumulator blow-out and is ideal for use with EFI Live, HP Tuners, and other transmission pressure tuning such as the BD Protect68 Transmission Pressure Controller.
A great alternative option if you do not own a tuner is the BD Protect68 Transmission Pressure Control Kit. This control kit delivers 150% of the torque holding force to stock transmissions as no others can. The electronic pressure control module will deliver up to 250psi of clutch apply pressure, in turn, this will provide 150% of the holding force which prevents clutch slippage. All of this is possible without even having to modify the transmission pump or removal of the transmission. This controller will dynamically adjust the hydraulic pressures based on your turbos boost and engine load. A brand new stock transmission will have the ability to handle up to 500HP!

So far very happy. Time will tell. Install wasn’t hard but attention to detail important.
Not a very difficult install. Watched my line pressure increase to 220 psi. Shifts are more pronounced and crisper. I was looking at valvebody replacement / upgrade but with this kit I don’t see a reason to now. When I pulled it apart I could see in the previous gaskets the cross leaks. Definitely a worth while upgrade.
Instructions and everything for this kit were flawless, time and careful attention and this part installs perfect!

Attention to detail and watching the YouTube video BD has on this kit made the install seemless. Hopefully this lengthens the life of my 68.
Everything went together well, the instructions were easy to follow. Did notice the actuator plate bolts were coming loose on the valvebody which caused my truck to shift into gear slowly when cold. Transmission shifts and works much better now, great job BD Diesel.
First time into a valve body. Directions were great. transmission is functioning as it should.

I ordered the EZ Lynk auto agent and CCS tunes. I finally figured out that this BD unit will boost my trans pressures to 250psi. I really appreciated the YouTube videos that BD put out showing the step by step on this install. Very happy with the purchase and nicer shifts.

Solid instructions, pretty simple install. Comes with a pan gasket, which is a nice touch. My tune maxes me out at 200psi holding pressure, and never had and slipping or transmission codes yet. So far so good, and I recommend. BD is based out of Abbotsford, which is good too. Thanks Dirty.
