Year Make Engine
2007.5-2018 Dodge Ram HD 6.7L Cummins

The intake horn on your Cummins is an important component, as its responsibility is to deliver air to your engine. However, the OEM horn has many problems, ranging from grid heater bolt failures, oil and carbon buildup, and pressure imbalance, all of which affect the performance of your engine and can potentially cause detrimental damage if not addressed.

Upgrading to Smedings Aluminum Cast Intake Horn eliminates these common issues, providing you with improved AFR ratios, reduced emissions, smoother, more uniform airflow, which equals more horsepower and torque, and of course, a happier engine!

Ask a Question
  • How does this one compare to banks intake horn? Is it kind of the same or completely different air wise? Also is there any other photos of it I’m very interested in buying one I just want to make sure I make a good decision when buying a new intake horn! And does it come with bolts or do all the factory stuff for where all the holes are?

It's a solid mid-tier upgrade that offers a significant improvement over stock, but it differs from the Monster-Ram in both design philosophy and price. If you want a massive upgrade over stock without the headache of messing with fuel lines, the Smeding is a fantastic choice. If you are chasing every single possible CFM of airflow and don't mind the higher price and more complex install, go with the Banks.
