Description

When the mainline pressure is increased with upgrades such as a high-performance transmission kit, your transmission generates additional heat. A PPE Performance Transmission Cooler is critical in such situations.

  • Do you need to add more fluid when you change the cooler

    Yes, expect to add 1 to 2 quarts of ATF, but always check fluid level via the dipstrick after running the truck to temp.

Fits into OEM placement! Instructions are very thorough and straightforward, easy install. I personally have not noticed a huge decrease in transmission temperatures. Close to oem cooler temps. Good replacement part well built! I would definitely recommend doing the trans cooler lines while you are at it only adds another 30 mins to the job using the fleece trans lines!

2006-2010 Duramax Performance Transmission Cooler (124062000)

Certainly a lot bigger than the factory one however it fit with just a tiny bit of tinkering where the factory one fits all the connections were great other than the clips that came with it to the oil cooler lines didn't hold the line as firm as I would have liked so I reused the original GM Clips which fit tighter and allowed the locks to hold much better
