The S&B 40 Gallon 10-1002 is a replacement fuel tank for your Powerstroke that can save you from possibly expensive damage to your fuel system and engine. The problem is the Ford Factory after-axle fuel tank has a coating on the inside that can become unstable over time, peeling off and sending contaminates into your entire fuel system.
The S&B tanks on the other hand are made out of Polyethylene, a material that will not delaminate over time and is considered the only true solution to the Ford gas tank delamination problem. Since this tank is an OEM upgrade unit, your sending unit and DTE will read exactly like they did when your truck rolled out the factory gates.
