  • I have an mm3 with tunes for my truck but have upgraded parts and regeared truck and changed cp4 for cp3 and new valve body for trans and new tire size and want new tunes do I need to buy a new license for my mm3 or can I use what I have?

    If you've already used your MM3 to tune the same truck, you'll just need a revision to account for the change -> CCS MM3 Custom Tuning Revision

  • Is this the same as a recovery file?

    No, this is a VIN license, which allows you to tune each truck.

  • I just purchased a brand new MM3 tuner from a local supplier. It hasn't been paired to any VIN, do i still need to purchase a VIN License.

    A new MM3 tuner includes a single VIN license. Additional licenses are only required if tuning multiple vehicles.

  • I have a MM3 tuner and need a custom tune file to work with my new turbo that does not change the stock vain position values , also TCM tune that does not change my line pressure from stock as requested by my trans builder . is this possible ?

    Yes, it is possible to have a custom tune created that retains the stock vane position values for your new turbo and a TCM tune that maintains the stock line pressure. You would just need to specify these requirements clearly. Turbo Custom Tune: Inform the tuner that the turbo upgrade does not require changes to the stock vane position mapping. This ensures compatibility with your new turbo without modifying the factory vane position logic. TCM Custom Tune: Request a TCM tune that leaves the line pressure at stock levels as per your transmission builder’s instructions. This can be accommodated while still adjusting other parameters, such as shift points or lockup schedules, if needed.

  • I have a mm3 that I pulled tunes off my old Cummins. Am I able to just buy the new license and use the tunes already on it?

    You'd need to get new tunes and a license. The tunes are written for each VIN/specific truck.

  • Does the MM3 need to be in the vehicle for the tune to be active? Can I use the same MM3 for both my Cummins and ecodiesel and just pay for 2 vins and 2 tunes?

    No it can be removed at any time.

  • I buying a mm3 and they said they did not pull the file off the old truck do I need that file or will it be on the programmer just need to do the license for the vin

    You will need a tune file and a license.

  • so is 185 for the license and you can build your own tune? or is 185 plus your tune fee

    No, the license fee will be required if you are tuning multiple vehicles on one MM3
