Description

The 121701 is a universal-fit turbo heat blanket designed for any T-6 flanged turbocharger. Turbos run extremely hot — exhaust housing temperatures can hit 1,400°F+ under sustained load — and that heat radiates into the engine bay, accelerating wear on every plastic, rubber, and wire harness within line of sight. A blanket wraps the exhaust housing, keeps the heat inside the turbo where it belongs (which actually improves turbo efficiency), and drops under-hood ambient temps measurably.

This is a bolt-on accessory — no fabrication, no welding. Wraps any T-6 turbo whether it's a single-turbo setup or the secondary turbo in a compound configuration. Owners running compound setups often add blankets to both turbos for the biggest under-hood temperature reduction.

Practical benefits: longer turbo bearing life (heat is the enemy of bearings), better turbo spool response, lower intake air temps from reduced engine-bay heat soak, and less heat-related wear on nearby wiring, hoses, and intercooler piping.
