1994-1998 Cummins Governor Spring Kit (HP10029)

The Packbrake HP10029 Governor Spring Kit features heavier coil springs that will allow the Bosch P7100 to safely spin the engine up to 3000 or 4000RPM.  These kits are recommended for vehicles that have 5-speed standard transmissions. If you are towing heavy loads or want more responsive power, then this is the perfect kit for you!

  Why is this kit only recommended for manual transmission equipped trucks?

  It's fine to do it on an automatic as well, it's just that they are generally considered to be weaker. It will work but it's recommended on a manual transmission or an upgraded automatic.
