The EGT probe is a sensor that allows users to monitor critical Exhaust Gas Temperatures to ensure added power is not creating excessive heat which, in turn, can cause engine damage. With the EAS system, a user can connect multiple EGT sensors to monitor temperatures in different locations and compare readings to be even more precise.

  Is this all I need to get my cts3 to read exaust temp do I need anything else 2010 cummins 2500.

  No, you will need more. To get your CTS3 to read EGTs on your Cummins, you'll also need the Edge Starter Kit (98602) for the 98611 to plug into.

  I have a 2008 lmm duramax. I have the cts3 and am wondering if this probe is all I need to monitor the EGT's, or if the starter kit is required for installation? I'm assuming the probe is all I need, just want to make sure. Thanks,

  You'll need the starter kit (98620) along with the probe (98611) to use EGT monitoring on your Edge CTS3.
