Removing the EGR systems on the 3.0L EcoDiesel will increase your low-end power, lower your exhaust gas temperatures (EGT), reduce black smoke emission, and eliminate the possibility of the EGR coolers failing. It's an incredibly beneficial upgrade on any EcoDiesel engine.

You will need a tune as well.

will I need additional software mod, or only hardware install?
If the truck is already deleted - you can install this and be good to go. If the truck hasn't been deleted yet, you will need custom tuning to install this.

Will this kit work on the 2020 ram ecodiesel as well?
Unfortunately no, we haven't been able to confirm fitment for the Ram EcoDiesels yet.
