By using these blocking plates will the ECM need to be retuned?
Yes you will need to put the emissions off tunes on the ecm along with eliminating the dpf and cat from the vehicle.

Hello I would simply like to stop the circulation of the emissions (I understand this is the major problem of engine failures) going through my engine and leave all the parts in their respective places. Will this plate do the trick and not effect the diagnostics / tune of the engine?
unfortunately additionally you would need to remove the DPF filter and cat, along with you would need flash emissions off tunes onto the ecm to be able to make it all work.
