Description

TuneZilla transmission (TCU) tuning for the Audi 3.0L V6 TDI ZF8, flashed at home through the OBD port with the TuneZilla FlashZilla Pro. Choose your tune from the options above. Add the FlashZilla Pro below if you do not already own one.

Transmission: Automatic ZF8 (Q5, A6, A7, A8) 3.0 TDI only. Not for manual transmission cars.

Installation

Flashed at home through the OBD port with the TuneZilla FlashZilla Pro and a Windows 10 or 11 laptop running the TuneZilla Portal App.
Connect the FlashZilla Pro with a USB-A to USB-C cable. USB-C to USB-C cables are not compatible.
Your tune is linked to your VIN and syncs to the TuneZilla Portal App, usually right away. Read and save your factory ECU file before flashing.
Clear all fault codes and warning messages before flashing.
TuneZilla recommends a battery charger for every flash. Turn the ignition on with the engine off, follow the prompts and do not interrupt the flash.

Radiator fan: the radiator fan can run during flashing and drain the battery. TuneZilla recommends a battery charger or unplugging the two radiator fan control unit fuses while flashing.

Different Strokes for Different Folks

We are constantly learning from real world feedback and testing. After a year of real world use and customer feedback, we have developed two variations of TCU calibrations to cater to a wider range of driving styles. This update to the TCU catalog was an effort to reduce the amount of additional costs to customers who choose custom TCU tuning. Pulling from a variety of driving styles and customer requests, we have released an Autobahn tune, and a Nur-Spec tune.

Autobahn	Nur-Spec
The Autobahn calibration is for the long distance hyper-miler. With shift points that are designed to keep you in the most efficient gear for maximum fuel efficiency, the Autobahn TCU file is great for highway commuters and long distance drivers who spend most of their time in the right lane maximizing their fuel range.	The Nur-Spec calibration is for the left lane passer and the weekend adventurer. Adjusting the shift points to be more active and stay within a comfortable powerband for adventuring or left lane passing, the Nur-Spec TCU file is fantastic for those that like to have their vehicle ready to deploy torque at a moments notice with minimal downshifts.
