Safety and added protection shouldn't cost you thousands; for less than a tank of fuel, you can protect your truck from catastrophic driveshaft failures. These failures typically occur at the double cardan joint on the upper end of the shaft, next to the transfer case.

After the driveshaft or transfer case breaks free, the loose driveshaft is likely to come through the cab floor, and/or rupture nearby fuel/brake/transmission lines, causing a fire in some cases. These loops will prevent that from happening.

Part Number: FNFCARLIDSL

Features

  • Specifically for trucks with Carli Long Arm Kits
  • Protects from secondary damage in the event of a driveshaft failure
  • Laser cut 1/4" plate steel
  • No drilling
  • Powder-coated black
  • Includes all necessary high-tensile hardware
  • A good add-on for those who use 4WD a lot
  • Good for stock, daily drivers, or drag/performance trucks

Notes

  • 2018 and up models have Center Axle Disconnect (CAD), and the front driveshaft isn't "driven" unless 4WD is engaged, or the CAD system is malfunctioning
  • This kit is intended specifically for trucks with Carli Long Arm Kits. It will fit stock trucks, and potentially fit on trucks with other long arm kits, but longer bolts may be needed.
