Enhance your vehicle's protection and boost the fluid flow to the transmission cooler, thereby increasing its cooling capacity, with the straightforward installation of the billet aluminum PPE Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve designed for the Ram Cummins diesel.

The OEM component features restrictive internal channels. If the OEM valve malfunctions in the closed position, it prevents transmission fluid from reaching the cooler, which may occur due to mechanical defects or debris. Consequently, a malfunctioning stock valve can lead to hazardous overheating of the transmission. The absence of adequately cooled transmission fluid under the strain of towing and intense stop-and-go driving can significantly reduce the lifespan of transmission parts. The PPE Bypass Valve is designed to remove the highly restrictive mechanical factory valve, thereby optimizing fluid flow to the transmission cooler.

To enhance protection, a service plug equipped with a Neodymium magnet has been introduced. This detachable plug captures ferrous particles and is accessible for the removal of these particles from the system. Unlike the factory bypass valve, this feature is not present.

Ask a Question
  • Will this fit/work for my 2012?

No, the 2013–2018 bypass valve will not fit your 2012. There was a completely different transmission line routing and external block redesign introduced in 2013.
