Need to go farther? This direct replacement tank holds 62 gallons versus the OEM capacity of 36 gallons. This tank holds 5 gallons more than competitors allowing you to get where you need to go without wasting time stopping for fuel. Included is all the components to remove and replace your tank into the stock location using the included straps.
This tank is built with a built-in baffled design to reduce fuel sloshing. This helps to contain fuel around the fuel pick-up.
Accidents happen! This tank features an integrated drain plug that can be drilled out and resealed, just in case gas or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) is accidentally added into the tank.
The S&B Fuel Tank was designed to use the OEM locking ring. This ensures a perfect seal and securely retains the fuel pump onto the tank.
These tanks are built to last and are made out of extremely strong crosslink polyethylene.

Notes
Notes
- Unfortunately, there is no way to calibrate the distance to empty readout when a larger fuel tank is used on GM trucks. Because the bottom of the S&B tank has a greater surface area, there will be a greater fuel reserve when the low fuel indicator comes on.
- The fuel gauge will operate properly. When you fill up your tank, the fuel gauge will remain on full until about 4-5 gallons have been used and then the gauge will start to move normally. GM trucks monitor for an inoperative fuel gauge, so in some situations, until it starts to move, the truck’s computer will drop the gauge to empty to get the driver’s attention even though your tank is full. The gauge will return to its normal position after restarting the engine. Once the fuel level drops 4-5 gallons from full, the fuel gauge will return to its normal operation.
- The bottom of the S&B tank has more surface area than the OE, so there will be a greater fuel reserve when the low fuel indicator comes on.
- Do you have an Auxiliary Fuel Tank? Read why using these with our tanks will void the Lifetime Warranty.
-
The nozzle at high-flow fuel stations(truck stops) will not be able to fill automatically.
