Undeniably, the most robust and reliable Powerstroke Ford has brought to production, these 6.7s are absolute behemoths in almost every way. While the head bolts aren't inherently "bad", most 6.7 owners opt to upgrade to studs if they want more modifications. Depending on your power goals, the OEM bolts can cause issues because they are not strong enough to handle high pressure. If your bolts fail, your gaskets will follow. Don't be that guy.

These head studs have a higher clamping capacity, which gives them superior strength to withstand more stress. And being longer, this provides more thread engagement, which gives you a more accurate torque reading.
