No longer do you need to worry about drilling a hole in your dash to install a shift-on-the-fly (SOTF) switch in your 2011-2016 Duramax! The new EAS Shift-On-The-Fly accessory from Edge lets you change custom tunes* on the fly using the Insight monitor. Many custom tuning companies use a voltage signal to change between power levels. Instead of drilling a hole in the dash for a manual knob, add the EAS SOTF accessory to your Insight monitor to control your tunes with a touch of the screen.
COMPATIBILITY NOTE: This accessory is designed for use with custom tuning platforms such as EFI Live and EZ-Lynk. Your specific tune file must be built for "Voltage-Based" switching (SOTF). It will NOT work with "canned" tunes or tunes that are not specifically configured for a physical switch input at the engine harness.
Part Number: 98653
Features
Features
- Change your tunes instantly via the Insight screen
- Replaces the need for a physical rotary SOTF switch
- Compatible with EFI Live, EZ-Lynk, and other custom tuning (Verify SOTF-indexing with your tuner)
- Clean setup, no drilling holes in your dashboard
- Uses Edge’s Expandable Accessory System (EAS)
Installation
Installation
- The EAS SOTF Adapter plugs into your Insight CS2, CTS2, or CTS3 device via the EAS daisy-chain.
- For the 2011-2016 LML Duramax, this accessory involves pinning wires into the factory engine harness (typically the Fuel Pressure Sensor circuit), exactly as you would with a standard SOTF switch. Switching occurs by changing the voltage between 1v, 2v, 3v, 4v, and 5v. Most custom-tuned vehicles run within these parameters.
- Flash the tune into your vehicle that enables the SOTF functions, and enjoy changing power levels on-screen!
Notes
Notes
- The LML Duramax EAS accessory connects to the engine harness to simulate the voltage levels required for tune switching. It only controls tuning levels that are calibrated to change via this 0-5V analog signal. If your current tune is a "single tune" rather than an SOTF multi-tune, this accessory will not increase power levels. Please verify with your custom tune provider that your tune is configured for analog (voltage) switching before purchase.
- Custom tunes created by 3rd-party tuners and/or 3rd-party custom-tuning software are not affiliated with, approved by, or endorsed by Powerteq.
