Note: Requires a Banks Monster-Ram intake
If you have already put a Banks Monster-Ram on your 6.7L Cummins, this kit finishes the job. The cover hides the EGR cooler and crossover tube behind a clean OEM-plus panel, so the engine bay looks finished instead of half-apart. It is moulded from glass-fiber reinforced polymer rated to 482°F, roughly 50 percent more heat resistance than the factory Cummins cover sitting beside it, and it shrugs off oil, fuel and solvents with UL94 V-0 flame-retardant properties.
The kit also includes the Banks Revolver billet oil cap, which replaces the failure-prone factory plastic cap. It is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and uses a 12-position spring-actuated cam-over ratchet, so it clicks at the right torque every time and is impossible to over-tighten. Plan on about an hour with basic hand tools. No CARB EO is required.
