Weak head bolts have long plagued the diesel world, it's nothing new, no matter the engine or manufacturer. But one thing is for certain; upgrading to studs is a must! Why? Studs have a higher clamping capacity (yes this can make them more difficult to remove) which gives them superior strength to withstand more stress, and they do not twist when you tighten them. So if you want more performance upgrades, you better get some studs.

    Part Number: HSK60

    Features

    • Tensile Strength: Over 220,000psi
    • Max Load: Over 120 KN
    • Higher strength and will not stretch like factory bolts
    • Prevents damage to head gaskets
    • Can withstand high-stress
    • Longer than head bolts, means more thread engagement
    • Thread into the engine block, install your head over the studs, the nuts apply clamping force VS bolts are threaded through the cylinder head into the block, applying clamping force

    Notes

    • These will also fit 2003-2010 E-Series Vans with the 6.0L Powerstroke
