• To maintain the factory safety features, ensure your neutral safety switch is functional; the manual shifter is designed to integrate with the 48RE range sensor.
• Since this is a Full Manual kit, the factory kickdown (TV) cable is typically no longer required for shift timing, but it is often recommended to leave the TV lever in a fixed "full pressure" position or remove it as per the specific MPT instructions.
• Ensure you select the correct shifter pattern. Forward Pattern keeps the familiar gear order, while Reverse Pattern is often preferred for drag racing to prevent accidental shifts into Neutral.
• For 2007.5–2009 trucks, this kit is only compatible if you have already swapped the factory 68RFE transmission for a 47RE or 48RE.
• This is not compatible with business-style center consoles
• 2006 and later model-year trucks will require slight trimming of the center console to fit this shifter bracket.
