2001-2025 Duramax Glow Plug Reamer Tool (25003)

Carbon and soot build up in the glow plug bores of every 6.6L Duramax over time. Thread a new glow plug into a dirty bore and the tip can snap off, and a broken tip that drops into the cylinder can damage the piston, valves, and cylinder head. The Merchant Automotive 25003 reamer cleans that buildup out of the bore before the new plug goes in, so it seats and seals the way it should.

Put a small amount of grease on the flutes before use. The grease catches the carbon as it comes out of the bore instead of letting it fall into the cylinder.
