This Thermostat housing is to be used when running an aftermarket turbocharger with no cooling provisions. Many of the Duramax coolant lines are routed in a way that makes it difficult to upgrade turbochargers or other performance accessories. Now there is a solution for many of those issues. The all-new billet thermostat housing and tube kit eliminates the factory coolant hose that crosses over the driver-side valve cover. This makes for more room for aftermarket turbo systems and fuel components.
