1991-2007 Duramax NV4500 1st Gear Mainshaft (ZMNV27170)

Your first gear within your transmission has the highest ratio, providing you with the most torque and acceleration. If this shaft fails, you most likely won't be able to get it into gear or will have difficulty doing so. It is always advised to inspect, and replace a 1st gear shaft: if there is damage to this one, it can potentially cause damage to other gears as well.
