1989-1998 Cummins Heavy Duty Head Stud Kit (HSK5912)

Due to their simplicity, durability, and power, the 5.9 12V will forever be a favorite for diesel enthusiasts and is considered to be the holy grail of the Cummins world. However, head bolts are a common failure point on these trucks, especially if you plan on doing a lot of power modifications. These studs, do not stretch, give you more thread engagement for more accurate torque readings and hold up to extreme stress.

• Tensile Strength: Over 220,000psi
• Max Load: Over 120 KN
• Higher strength and will not stretch like factory bolts
• Prevents damage to head gaskets 
• Can withstand high-stress
• Longer than head bolts, means more thread engagement
  
• Thread into the engine block, install your head over the studs, the nuts apply clamping force VS bolts are threaded through the cylinder head into the block, applying clamping force
  

• You will need to either have your rocker arm pedestals machined/milled or purchase a set of the Modified Rocker Arm Pedestals.
