Description
Description
Drop-in stock-replacement pistons for 1989-1998 Dodge 5.9L 12V Cummins engines. Same combustion bowl as the OE piston — for owners doing a stock-power rebuild and not pushing the engine past factory output. For high-fuel builds, the Marine Big-Bowl piston (PDM-03523) is the better choice.
Available in standard, .020, and .040 bore sizes. Coated & chamfered (CC) and fly-cut variants available for builds that want better thermal protection or run a high-lift cam.
All variants ship complete with rings, wrist pins, and clips. Sold as a set of 6.

Notes
Notes
- Thermal Barrier (top coating): hard ceramic-resin film for nitrous, blower, and high-boost builds. Keeps combustion heat in the chamber longer.
- Ceramic Skirt Coating: carries 350,000+ PSI loads, lubricates past 1,600°F. Film thickness .001" or less — no clearance change required.
- Fly Cut Variant: only required when running a high-lift performance camshaft.
- For higher-power builds, look at the Marine Big-Bowl piston (PDM-03523) — the larger bowl handles more fuel without scorching the piston.
