Description
Description
Fire-ringed head gasket kit for 1989-1998 Dodge 5.9L 12V Cummins engines. Replaces the stock composite gasket with a steel-shim gasket plus discrete steel fire rings that compress into machined grooves in the block deck — the standard fix for high-boost 12V builds that keep blowing factory or O-ringed head gaskets.
Block must be machined for the fire ring grooves (specs below). Once installed and properly torqued with head studs, this gasket setup will hold drive pressures well past where O-rings give up.
Features
Features

Notes
Notes
- Block must be machined for the fire ring grooves. Specs are listed above; confirm groove depth on your block before final torque.
- Run with head studs — head bolts won't hold clamping load on a fire-ringed build.
- Stock or O-ringed gaskets are easier installs; consider whether the build actually needs fire rings before committing to the machine work.
