What is Tuning?
By custom tuning a truck, you are given the ability to modify countless parameters to the engine and transmission operation that OEMs had to produce the stock tunes you started with. The number one reason customers choose to tune their trucks is fuel economy. Just by changing the rate of the burn inside the combustion chamber and removing EGR gases (if applicable) from the burn we can extract more energy out of the fuel that was otherwise possible. By extracting more energy out of the fuel we get increased fuel mileage as less fuel is required and an increase of power.
Single Tune
A single tune option is perfect for customers who are just looking for a mild tow or economy tune and do not foresee the need to switch tunes. The truck will always run it much like the stock tune, perfect for customers who are not the only ones driving their trucks. We can set up a single tune to any power level or configuration.
5 Tunes
The 5 Tune option is great for customers who want the ability to turn up and down the power of a tune as a result of the changing circumstances in which you plan to use the truck. For example, if the truck is empty you can turn up the power to have a little fun, then turn it down when hooking up to your holiday trailer to minimize stress on the drivetrain.

VIN License & Link Codes
VIN License & Link Codes
In order to purchase an EFI Live Vin License, EFI Live requires the serial number of your device and authorization codes. In order to use an Autocal Device to apply custom tuning, it must be linked to the new tuning company you are receiving tune files from.
Please note, if you are using an Autocal that has been previously linked or used by a different tune provider, you will need to request unlink codes and unlink the device from that tuning company before adding the new tuning onto your device.
If you have existing tuning on your truck, you will need to contact the tuner for the AutoCal Unlink Codes. They will usually provide you with instructions on how to do this.

i swapped an lly engine into my truck that was originally an lb7. my feul gauge reads backwards. is there anyway to rescale it to the lly so it reads normal when i order my 5 tunes
Yes, certainly we can rescale the fuel gauge to read differently. If you write that issue into your box where it asks for "Mods" our tuner can write that in.

Can I load these tunes onto an edge insight cts3
No, EFILive custom tune files for a 2001-2010 Duramax cannot be loaded onto an Edge Insight CTS3. The CTS3 is a monitoring device only and does not support flashing or loading custom tunes.

What is the difference ? 5 Tunes Files w/ Switch w/No Vin License vs 5 Tunes Files w/ Switch
These are for if you already have an EFI Live device. Every truck needs to be licensed to the device, so if you have already flashed the truck once with the device, you do not need to purchase an extra license. If not, then you would need a license to flash the truck.

dose the tow tune have a exhaust brake
Yes the TOW setting (#2) will have an incorporated exhaust brake on 04.5-10 trucks. The LLY trucks don't have a ton of hold back power, but the 06-10 trucks work amazing with the exhaust brake.

Specifically for your 2001-2010 Duramax CCS EFILive Custom Tune Files, is the tire size parameter (i.e. revolutions per mile) locked by the tuner, or is that something that I could adjust later using my Autocal if my rear differential ratio or tire size were to change later? Do you offer off-road use/race tunes to US customers? These tunes are delivered via email, correct?
The tune will need to be updated by CCS for a new tire size, and yes this is offroad tuning but we can send to the states. We will preload it here before it leaves the shop.

i know the #2 setting is tow tune but on a manual trans how do you activate it with out having a tow haul button
To activate your tow tune on a manual transmission Duramax without a tow/haul button, check if your tune setup uses an SOTF switch. If not, your truck stays in the loaded tune by default

I was wondering a ballpark torque addition on a stock lbz duramax with a 4 inch exhaust on the 120 hp tune.
Roughly 250-300lb-ft. over stock.

If purchasing a single street tune is it possible to have the exhaust brake on as well, 2008 duramax, has No exhaust brake button. Also wanting to keep stock exhaust on with tuning if possible.
A single street tune can include an exhaust brake via software control, and stock exhaust can be retained with proper custom tuning.
