Additional Info

Why did Pacbrake add a bump stop to their bags?

Peace of mind. Customers want a bump stop to prevent bottoming out from loss of airbag pressure, an extremely rare event that could damage the airbags or potentially the frame of the truck. Think of it as an "insurance policy" against bottoming out.

An additional benefit is that you can run these airbags at 0 psi when unloaded for superior ride comfort.

Are bump stops necessary?

No! For those that require max travel in their airbags, to raise and lower their rear end to pickup trailers or boats, or for those that take their trucks off-roading, airbags without bump stops are recommended.

For those that desire maximum bag travel, a great benefit when offroading, towing and launching boats, or for those that constantly need to lower their rear to pick up trailers, consider the HP10609-X ALPHA XD load-levelling air bag.
