There is a lots to say when it comes to the fuel filtration system in your diesel; if this major component isn't properly functioning, it opens the door to excessive wear on your injection system; which is not a cheap fix!! By removing over 99% of the water from your diesel fuel, along with entrained air and debris down to 2 Microns, the Drop-In Series System protects your Powerstroke injection system from premature failure, optimizes MPG (results will vary), restores horsepower, and sharpens throttle response.

- Filter Reference: XWS3002XL & CWS1010
- Retains the 6.7L Powerstrokes OEM in-tank fuel pump
- THE DROP-IN SERIES FASS FOR THE 6.7L POWERSTROKE WAS DESIGNED TO MOUNT IN THE FACTORY WATER SEPARATOR LOCATION AND MAY NOT WORK WITH AFTERMARKET FUEL TANKS THAT HAVE GREATER FUEL CAPACITY THAN THE STOCK FUEL TANK. Ask a Question-
Will this work as a CP4 disaster prevention?
Not by itself. It is a very good upgrade for filtration and water/air separation — it removes water, air and microscopic debris before fuel reaches the OEM system, which reduces the chance of fuel-quality related CP4 problems. However, a “CP4 disaster” most commonly means a catastrophic CP4 high-pressure pump failure that shreds metal internals and sends metal debris through the high-pressure rails, lines and injectors. A filtration unit like the FASS will not stop metal particles generated by a CP4 when it grenades from entering the high-pressure system. For that you need a CP4 disaster-prevention kit or a full CP4→DCR pump conversion.

Does this delete both fuel filters ? Ie, upper fuel filter and lower fuel filter ?
This systen retains the factory in-tank lift pump- it does not replace both factory fuel filters.
