For the 2017-2023 Duramax L5P downpipe, the two studs coming off the turbo outlet (where the downpipe connects) typically have a thread pitch of M10 x 1.5.

Do I need to remove the turbo to get the cat out of there?
No, you can unbolt the cat and angle the cat out. It can be tight though!
