Note: For use with PPE 228052100 series transmission pans (including 228052110 and 228052120) ONLY. It has not been designed or tested for compatibility with any other pan.
PPE recognized the need for better filtration for the hard-working 68RFE transmissions, so a superior filter was developed that addresses limitations of the standard "shorty filter".
Inside the PPE Spin-On Filter is 57% larger than the OEM filter. This increased surface area allows improved fluid flow and filtering. The PPE Double-Deep Filter traps particles down to 10 microns, which is half the size of what the standard spin-on filter catches. These improvements help create a cleaner flow of oil to vital internal components, resulting in smooth, more responsive shifts.
On top of that this filter upgrades the factory plastic threaded adapter to a steel adapter as well as a magnetic filter at the bottom to pull out any metal debris from the fluid.
